The Russian army does not have the ability, in the event of an offensive, to advance as quickly as at the beginning of a full-scale war. Today, the Russians can advance gradually, for example, by involving subversive groups.
Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolayiv RMA , told about this on the air of Nataliia Moseichuk's «Adult Conversation about War» program.
«When people are interested in the offensive, they are interested in whether there will be something like February 24, 2024, that the Russians will now run 100 kilometers per day. It is no longer possible for the convoy to leave now and skip 100 kilometers. If the advance is short: they will cross the river, land a sabotage group. «Now there is no risk that somewhere we have a big failure for tens of kilometers,» he said.
As for the possibility of a Russian attack on Mykolaiv, Vitalii Kim emphasized that in this case the enemy army would need a lot of time. Because today there is a whole network of channels that is constantly controlled by Ukrainian troops.
«In order for them to pass, force the Dnipro and reach Mykolaiv, they need time, because we have a network of canals and two passes that we fully control. I clearly know all the approaches from a military point of view along my line of defense. And I say this so that people are calm about the defense of the city,» said the head of the RMA.
It should be noted that recently Dmytro Marchenko in an interview with Dmytro Gordon expressed the opinion that Russia has not given up the south of Ukraine, and the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation seeks to cut us off from the Black Sea.
The head of Mykolayiv RMA Vitalii Kim said that he categorically disagrees with General Dmytro Marchenko that Russia may try to seize the south of Ukraine again.
