The Russians on the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions are carrying out sabotage and reconnaissance activities and increasing the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border.

This was reported by the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Lykhovii, on the air of the Yedyni Novyny telethon.

«On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of Russia, increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine,» Dmytro Lykhovii said.

At the same time, according to him, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses on Russian troops in terms of manpower and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire line of battle.

The spokesman of the General Staff also informed that the operational situation in the Volyn and Poliske directions has not changed significantly

«There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy,» he stressed.

We will remind, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov predicts that the offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkiv region will continue for several more days, after which a new attack will begin in the direction of the Sumy region.
