On the border with Romania and Moldova, the most active attempts to illegally cross the border by conscripted men are recorded. Such cases are recorded almost every day.

This was stated by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andrii Demchenko at the Ukraine Media Center.

He noted that attempts to illegally leave Ukraine are also recorded at the borders with EU countries, but there are fewer of them.

«The most active directions are the border with Moldova and Romania. In other areas, in particular, on the border with Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland, such attempts are also present, but in a much smaller number,» said Andrii Demchenko.

According to his spokesman, attempts to cross the border are recorded almost every day and they are not decreasing.

The spokesman emphasized that in most cases, citizens try to cross the border in green zones — outside checkpoints.

«Recently, we have not seen a sharp increase, but, unfortunately, there is no decrease in the number of attempts to cross the border illegally. Days may vary — on certain days we detain more violators, on other days — less, but such attempts are made every day,» he added.
