Border guards, together with law enforcement officers, detained a resident of Transcarpathia who wanted to smuggle a man from the Volyn region to Romania.

This is reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that the services of a 21-year-old resident of Teresva cost $3,500. The man was detained after handing him part of the agreed amount.

Law enforcement officers detained the smuggler under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The man faces imprisonment for 7 to 9 years.
