Mykolaiv fencer Olha Kharlan shared her impressions of her team, which recently won the first gold for Ukraine at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
She told about this in an interview with Breakfast with 1+1.
As is known, together with Olga Harlan, the Ukrainian fencing team included Olena Kravatska, Alina Komaschuk and Yuliia Bakastova.
«We don't have a perfect understanding (between the team, — note), but this is my family. There is also no understanding in the family at times, everyone is different, but we put up with what was happening. We helped each other, we laughed together. Some were returned to sports. I have always believed in each of them and I still do, they are very strong and we showed it with the gold of the Olympics. And it seems to me that they already believe in it,» she said.

«This is a completely separate story (how it was possible to return Alina Komaschuk to sports, — note.) She is one of my best friends and she is a very strong fencer, and she may not know about it as much as she would like, but I always believed in her,» she said she.
We will remind you that at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on Monday, July 29, the Mykolaiv fencer Olha Kharlan won the women's saber competition. She defeated her South Korean opponent Choi Sebin with a score of 15:14.
Women's saber competitions were also held at the Olympic Games. Mykolaiv fencer Olga Harlan won the decisive battle for bronze. At the same time, Olha Kharlan played a key role on the way to «gold» in the team tournament.
In general, Mykolaiv sportswoman Olga Harlan became a six-time Olympic medalist, winning gold in the team saber fencing tournament at the 2024 Games.
