In Munich, where the Ukrainian national team will play its first match at the 2024 European Football Championship on June 17, a tribune from Kharkiv's «Sonyachnyi» stadium, destroyed as a result of Russian shelling, was displayed.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).

As noted, the stadium was built by Ukraine before Euro-2012, and in May 2022 it was destroyed by Russian troops.

«Ukrainian Football Association took the tribune across Europe to testify to the world that football is not outside of war. After all, more than 500 sports facilities were damaged by Russian bombings and missile strikes,» the message reads.

As noted, the tribune is combined with an interactive installation: visitors will be able to read and hear the story of «Sonyachnyi», which was the training base of the Netherlands national team at Euro-2012, and then became the main training stadium for the national team of Ukraine.

«The VR glasses will transport everyone to the stadium in real time to see what it looks like after the Russian strike,» the UAF added.
