In Mykolaiv, there are plans to auction off a building used for refuelling municipal vehicles with water. The property, with an area of 13.8 square metres, is located at 44-Z Hromadianska Street.

It is proposed that this property be added to the list of municipal assets that the city council has authorised for privatisation.

The proposal was initiated by the municipal enterprise «Mykolaivvodokanal».

According to the draft resolution, the non-residential water-replenishment building, along with the equipment for filling containers and the paving, will be put up for sale. The method of privatisation is by auction.

Once the decision has been adopted, the City Council’s Asset Management Department is to organise the sale in accordance with the law.

As a reminder, in May 2025, the Mykolaiv City Council approved a list of 114 municipal assets subject to privatisation. This list was adopted at the second attempt. The proceeds from the sale were intended to be used to strengthen the defence capabilities of Mykolaiv and the region.

In July, the Mykolaiv City Council approved the sale of a further 15 municipal premises subject to privatisation. The total starting price of the lots is around 8 million hryvnias.

In February 2026, the city authorities prepared a further 52 municipal properties for sale – ranging from former boiler houses and pumping stations to administrative buildings and non-residential premises in various districts of the city.

Over the course of several city council sessions during the summer, councillors were unable to agree on amendments to the list of small-scale privatisation properties.
