Three Mykolaiv sports schools were included in the list of the best in Ukraine for 2023.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine approved the rating of physical culture and sports institutions for Olympic and non-Olympic sports for 2023.

As the press service notes, the Mykolaiv specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve took 6th place in fencing.

The specialized children's and youth sports school of the Olympic reserve in cycling is in 11th place.

In addition, the Mykolaiv School of Higher Sports Mastery entered the top 25 among ShVSM, taking 24th place.

We will remind you that two sportswomen in the Mykolayiv region became ambassadors of the «All-Ukrainian school leagues side by side» project — Ruslana Kuzikova and Alina Poloziuk.

It should be noted that Alina Poloziuk won the championship at the Cup of Ukraine in rapier fencing, which was held in Lviv on January 27, 2023.

Also in October 2023, Alina Polozyuk won gold at the Satellite series tournament in Istanbul, Turkey. For the 21-year-old female fencer, this is the first victory at a competition of this level.

Earlier, weightlifter Ruslana Kuzikova won a silver medal at the European Championship, which was held from July 26 to August 3 in Bucharest.

In turn, Mykolaiv champion Danylo Konovalov received a monetary reward for sports victories. It is noted that the reward is one hundred thousand hryvnias.
