World Bank is an international financial institution that gives Ukraine loans and grants for reconstruction, social payments, energy and business support.

Under the HOPE project Mykolaiv is to spend UAH 150 million from the World Bank on housing repairs; in March 2026 the city added 17 buildings to the list and removed two. According to RDNA3, rebuilding Mykolaiv Oblast requires USD 14.2 billion. In 2025 the city council allocated UAH 50 million from the Mykolaiv budget to repay a World Bank loan taken by the utility Mykolaivoblteploenergo.

MykVisti checks how the bank's money is spent in Mykolaiv and how transparent international tenders are, and reports on new funding for Ukraine.
