Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) is part of Ukraine's prosecution service. Together with the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), it handles corruption cases and brings them before the High Anti-Corruption Court.

As of January 2026, SAPO was headed by Oleksandr Klymenko. According to him, 41 members of the current Verkhovna Rada have received notices of suspicion from SAPO, and 79 MPs in the agency's ten years. In July 2025, all MPs from Mykolaiv Oblast backed bill No. 12414, which limited the work of NABU and SAPO, and Mykolaiv residents twice rallied in support of the two agencies.

MykVisti covers the Midas and Forrest Gump cases, the suspicions against former energy minister Halushchenko and former deputy head of the Presidential Office Mudra, the case of judge Vsevolod Kniazev from Mykolaiv and a ₴170 million embezzlement scheme at a power plant construction site in Mykolaiv Oblast.
