Mykolaiv Development Agency is a municipal institution of Mykolaiv City Council that looks for grants and international partners for city projects. In December 2025 a supervisory board of independent experts began work at the agency, and the city executive committee proposed expanding its staff and doubling its payroll. The 2026 city budget planned ₴4.5 million for the agency, about ₴3.4 million of it for the salaries of seven employees. In May 2026 agency staff and Deputy Mayor Serhii Korenev visited the twin city of Aalborg in Denmark and spoke about setting up a European Integration Office in Mykolaiv.
