Enemy attacks on the territory of Ukraine

Russia frequently conducts shelling across Ukrainian territory, using various types of weaponry: cruise missiles, kamikaze drones, artillery, ballistic missiles, multiple rocket launchers, and other means. These shellings pose a threat to the lives and safety of civilians, destroy infrastructure, and cause humanitarian crises.

Types of Threats:

  • Cruise missiles – precision-guided weapons capable of striking targets over long distances. These are often launched from the sea or from the territory of other countries.
  • Ballistic missiles – supersonic weapons traveling on a ballistic trajectory, making them difficult to intercept.
  • Kamikaze drones – unmanned aerial vehicles carrying explosives, aimed at damaging infrastructure.
  • Artillery – includes howitzers and mortars used to shell nearby towns and villages, often causing harm to civilians.

Safety Recommendations:

  1. Two-wall rule: During missile or artillery attacks, stay in a room between two load-bearing walls. This greatly reduces the risk of injury from debris.
  2. During air raid alerts:
    • Immediately proceed to the nearest shelter.
    • If there is no shelter nearby, take cover in a bathroom, hallway, or another room without windows.
    • Do not ignore air raid signals, even if it seems like the attack will not affect your area.

Air Raid Alerts

The air raid alert system operates across all regions of Ukraine, warning of potential aerial threats. When you hear the alert, it's crucial to seek shelter immediately and remain there until the all-clear signal is given.

Russian shelling leaves behind destruction, pain, and loss, but timely responses to alerts and following safety protocols help save lives.
