Google is an American technology company, a subsidiary of Alphabet, which runs the search engine, Google Maps, the Chrome browser and Gmail. In Ukraine, Google and other foreign companies pay VAT on electronic services, known as the Google tax: in January to July 2026 such companies paid ₴11.3 billion to the state budget.

In 2024 Google fixed an error that exposed images of Ukrainian military facilities on its maps, launched free training for small and medium businesses in Ukraine and marked the 33rd anniversary of independence with a doodle. According to Google's search ranking, power outage schedules were the top query in Ukraine in 2024.
