The State Inspectorate of the South-Western Region reported that the amount of environmental damage caused by construction works on Flotskyi Boulevard amounted to more than 2 million hryvnias.
Inna Kryvo, head of the department of state supervision and control of the nature reserve fund of the Mykolaiv region, reported this in a comment to NikVesti.
As you know, the director of the utility company Mykolaiv Parks Dmytro Chuchmai stated that construction works on Flotskyi Boulevard do not require a project. He also explained that they were started «so that our fighters could undergo rehabilitation there for free».
The State Inspectorate stated that this information is not true and the utility company should have developed the appropriate project and coordinated it with Mykolaiv RMA.
«Flotskyi Boulevard, in addition to being an object of improvement, is also an object of a nature reserve fund of local importance. The maintenance and reconstruction of such parks is carried out according to a project developed by specialized institutions and approved by the bodies under which these parks are regulated, with the approval of the RMA,» informed Inna Kryvo.
According to her, the amount of damage to nature amounted to more than 2 million hryvnias.
«During the raid, we recorded the placement of building materials, removal of the top layer of soil, felled trees. According to the workers, a sports ground is being built on this site. These works do not relate either to the maintenance or to the repair of the improvement facility in accordance with the Procedure for the Repair and Improvement of Settlements. We calculated the damage due to the felling of trees, the removal of the soil layer, and the placement of building materials. The total amount is more than 2 million hryvnias,» added Inna Kryvo.
We remind you that the police have currently opened criminal proceedings against Mykolaiv Parks for unauthorized construction on Flotskyi Boulevard. All equipment will be removed and evacuated to the penalty area.
At the same time, the State Environmental Inspection is asking KP Mykolaiv Parks to return the layer of fertile soil that was removed to install a sports field on Flotskyi Boulevard.
