Communal TV channel MART asks Sienkevych to take into account its needs in 2024: ₴12.7 million for salaries, new studio and equipment

The municipal enterprise «Teleradiokompaniya «MART» of the Mykolaiv Council addressed a letter to the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych, in which he asks, when adopting changes to the target program for the development of the information and communication sphere, to take into account the company's calculations for financing from the city budget in 2024. Namely, to provide 12.7 million hryvnias in the city budget for financing the TV channel.
This is discussed in the letter of the director of the KP Vitalii Meheda addressed to Oleksandr Sienkevych, which was handed over to the deputies of the city council. A copy of the document is at the disposal of the NikVesti editorial office.
The company made calculations taking into account the possible adoption by the deputies of the decision to reform «MART» from a communal enterprise (KP) to a communal non-commercial enterprise (NPC). The adoption of such a decision, as well as the introduction of changes to the charter of the enterprise, will change the format of the TV channel in such a way that its employees will be supported at the expense of the budget of Mykolaiv. Currently, the TV channel itself has to earn money for its maintenance, but at the same time, the city council regularly helps the company financially with contributions to the authorized capital. In the period from July 2020 to November 2023, the Mykolaiv City Council increased the authorized capital of «MART» by a total of 5.7 million hryvnias.
In general, the company requests to finance the activities of the TV channel in the amount of 12.7 million hryvnias under the target direction «Ensuring the activities of local public audiovisual media in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine «On Media».
For wages, the company is asking for 8.3 million hryvnias for 2024. Of these, 1.5 million hryvnias are charged to the payroll fund. 5.3 million hryvnias is the official salary of the company's employees. 407 thousand hryvnias — director's bonus. Sick leave, vacation pay and fees for participating in the creation of TV programs are also provided for.
To pay for electronic services and services (hosting, radio frequency monitoring, refilling cartridges, renting a car, creating TV programs, repairing and servicing equipment — 1.1 million hryvnias.
Travel expenses — 24.5 thousand hryvnias.
Utility payments (water supply and drainage, electricity, heat supply) total 236.4 thousand hryvnias.
Purchase of paper, water cooler, household goods, household chemicals, drinking water — 28.6 thousand hryvnias.
The company is asking for another 3 million hryvnias to upgrade equipment. «MART» plans to acquire in 2024:
- A set of sound equipment for a television studio for 450 thousand hryvnias;
- A set of lighting equipment for a television studio for 730 thousand hryvnias;
- A set of stage equipment for the television pavilion for 360 thousand hryvnias;
- A set of television and computer equipment for a studio hardware complex for 1 million 460 thousand hryvnias.
It should be noted that all these proposals were taken into account and included in the project of making changes to the target program for the development of the information and communication sphere of the city of Mykolaiv, which is proposed for approval by the deputies of the city council at the session on December 25.
We remind that in November, the «MART» TV channel purchased a 5 by 3 meter LED screen for 1.5 million hryvnias.
According to the search and analytical system 007.org.ua, from the beginning of 2023, the MART TV channel received 5.5 million hryvnias from the budget of Mykolaiv and the Mykolaiv region, as well as the state budget, under contracts for the production of stories and posting of information. Most of the activities of the TV channel were financed by the Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council, allocating a total of 3.5 million hryvnias.
It was previously reported that the municipal enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council «TV and Radio Company «MART» congratulated and praised the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkevych, who was elected to the board of the international movement of mayors for the fight against climate change at the summit in Dubai.
