In Mykolaiv, they plan to provide one-time financial assistance to families whose children died as a result of military operations.
NikVesti writes that this issue was discussed at a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council's commission on legality and transparency.
Hanna Remennikova, a deputy from the «Proposal» party, made a proposal to introduce a draft decision for consideration at the session, which provides for the procedure for providing one-time financial assistance to families in the event of the death of minor children due to the aggression of the Russian Federation on the territory of the city.
«Please support this draft decision. Although we already have a bereavement scheme in place, it does not cover minor children. Now we have only three such families, but given the difficult circumstances, this decision must be made,» she stressed.
The commission supported the initiative and in the near future the issue will be put to a vote at the session of the city council.
Also, in Mykolaiv, they plan to compensate for burial expenses not only for military personnel, but also for civilians who died as a result of a full-scale war.
According to the draft decision published on the website of the city council, 4 million 200 thousand hryvnias are allocated for the implementation of this item in the social protection program for three years, of which 600 thousand hryvnias are planned to be allocated already in 2024.
We will remind that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, 581 children have died, and 1,649 children have received injuries of varying degrees of severity. Juvenile prosecutors noted that on October 21-22 this year, new victims appeared, among them a 15-year-old girl who was injured in the village of Buzke, Mykolaiv Region.
