The South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant signed an agreement for the construction of engineering protection with a local company for 2 billion 280 million hryvnias.

This is evidenced by data in the ProZorro public procurement system.

PAES has concluded an agreement with PrJSC Yuzhenergobud. This is the second agreement with the company. The previous agreement amounted to almost 600 million hryvnias. It provided for the construction of engineering protection of critical elements of the station.

The agreement of December 13 provides for similar work. However, the details of their implementation are not specified in the agreement, and the procurement was carried out without open bidding.

The work should be completed by the end of 2026.

As previously reported, according to data from the YouControl analytical system, PrJSC Yuzhenergobud is registered in Yuzhnoukrainsk itself. The beneficiary of the company is listed as Matvii Yasenytskyi.

It should be noted that the construction of the defense was preceded by statements from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) about Russian drone flights near the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant. Since the beginning of December alone, 17 Russian attack drones have flown within three kilometers of the South Ukrainian Nuclear Power Plant.
