President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that four countries do not yet see Ukraine as a NATO member.

He said this during a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on 16 January in Kyiv.

«The United States, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany — they were sincere, they did not want to see us in NATO. These are the four countries that, for different reasons, all of them have their own reasons, but they have not seen Ukraine in NATO so far,» the President said.

At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine is asking for security guarantees.

«If not today, then let them know when and if it will happen. And this is a very specific thing. When you know when Ukraine is invited, or you know some specific dates, this is a strong position», Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Earlier , Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the participants of «Ramstein» to consider the deployment of a foreign contingent in Ukraine.
