As a result of the Russian attack on Mykolaiv with rockets and drones on the morning of February 7, 71 buildings were damaged in the city, and three more were completely destroyed.
Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych told about this on the air of the telethon, NikVesti writes.
The number of victims did not change: one person died, more than 10 were injured, they were given medical assistance on the spot. Another 60 residents received psychological help.
«The commission is examining the territory. It is already clear that three private houses have been completely destroyed and cannot be restored. 71 private sector houses were damaged: mainly, this is a broken roof, broken windows, doors, walls. Two non-residential buildings were also damaged — a post office and a carpentry shop,» the mayor said.
Assistance is currently being provided to people whose homes were damaged by the explosion. They were offered places to resettle, but most refused.
Attack on Mykolaiv on February 7
The first blows to the city sounded around 6 in the morning. As it became known later, Mykolaiv was attacked by «Shakhed» and rockets.
Initially, the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, reported that the roofs of about 20 residential buildings were blown off due to the explosions. City construction crews went to the scene, and residents are being assisted.
Later, the RMA added that a technical building was damaged in the territory of the infrastructure facility as a result of shelling. There was a fire there.
The State Emergency Service reported that more than 40 rescuers and 6 units of equipment are working to eliminate the consequences.
Leonid Glove, a resident of Mykolaiv and an employee of the Mykolaiv branch of «Gazmerezha», was injured by a missile strike. The man was hospitalized, but due to a significant number of injuries , he died in intensive care.
