Kim on the night shelling of Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles: «This has not happened since 2022»

The shelling of Mykolaiv on the night of October 15 became one of the most publicized since 2022.

Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolaiv RMA, told about this on the air of the telethon.

«We cannot calculate the damages for now, this is a commercial market in one of the districts of the city, there are mostly private houses there. These night attacks by S-300 missiles have not happened for a long time, probably since 2022 there has not been such a dense attack. There were 7 rockets. We know from where. We will monitor,» commented the head of RMA.

Vitalii Kim also added that the Russians have a lot of S-300 missiles, so they are returning to systematic attacks on the city and planning to attack critical infrastructure in winter.

«I believe they are preparing for attacks on critical infrastructure in winter. Many of their rockets remained inaccurate. The internet says the margin of error is 600 meters to a kilometer. Therefore, it is difficult to say whether they deliberately targeted the market. They fire at least two missiles at one object, and now five. The accuracy is bad, it's, let's say, more terrorism,» he noted.

As of now, the number of victims from the arrivals has not changed — only 23 people. One of the victims had a limb amputated, another woman died on the spot.

«The doctors are doing their best. The situation has not changed, we are in control,» added Vitalii Kim.

Attack on Mykolaiv with S-300 missiles

On the night of October 15, the Russians hit the city at around 02:30 in advance with S-300 missiles. The blows were recorded in several areas, where an infrastructure object, a restaurant complex, trade pavilions, residential buildings and cars were affected.

The authorities reported that a local resident died as a result of the blow. 16 people were also injured. Later, RMA noted that the number of wounded in Mykolaiv as a result of the night shelling had increased to 23.

Fires broke out in several districts of Mykolaiv due to shelling.

Investigators are investigating criminal proceedings under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine «Violation of the Laws and Customs of War» over the fact of the night rocket attack on Mykolaiv.
