A road traffic accident occurred in the Korabelnyi district during the night. A BMW driver crashed into the fence of City Hospital №5 near the new infectious diseases ward.

This was reported by NikVesti.

As a result of the crash, the front of the car and the hospital fence were damaged. The area has now been cordoned off with tape.

The press service of the Mykolaiv Region Patrol Police told NikVesti that the driver fled the scene after the accident.

«We were called by a security guard. When we arrived at the scene, only the car was there; the driver was not present,» said Vitalii Dushko, press officer for the patrol police.

According to preliminary information, the driver has not yet been found.

As a reminder, on the Mykolaiv–Odesa road, the driver of a Toyota Hiace struck an 88-year-old man who was crossing the road in an unauthorised place and fled the scene of the accident. The police have found the fugitive.
