The Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office, together with Polish law enforcement agencies, detained a Pole who collaborated with the Russian GRU and proposed an assassination attempt on President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

This was reported by the press services of the Prosecutor General's Office and the SSU.

According to the investigation, the suspect, on his own initiative, established contact with representatives of the command of the Russian Armed Forces, and informed them of his readiness to work for the benefit of the military intelligence of the Russian Federation.

His tasks included the collection and transfer to the aggressor country of information about the security of the Rzeszów-Jasionka airport on the territory of Poland. This was supposed, among other things, to help the Russian special services plan a possible attempt on the life of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his stay in this country.

The Polish prosecutor's office charged him with being ready to act for the benefit of a foreign special service. On April 18, he was sent to custody.

We will remind you that the counter-intelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a resident of Dnipro, who was probably helping the Russian Federation to direct missiles and drones at the city.

The SSU also detained an agent of the Russian Federation who directed Russian drones at the locations of the Defense Forces and the leadership of the Kherson RMA.
