In Ochakiv, the heating is to be turned on in hospitals, schools and nurseries in two weeks’ time

In Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region, the heating season for the hospital, educational establishments and a number of other institutions may begin on 1 November. Heating will be supplied provided that the average daily air temperature does not exceed +8°C for three consecutive days.

The relevant decision was adopted on 13 October by the executive committee of the Ochakiv City Council, according to NikVesti.

In particular, from 1 November, heating may be switched on at the Ochakiv Multidisciplinary Hospital, Pavlo Ivanov Gymnasium №2, School №3, the Ochakiv Lyceum, the «Zolota Rybka» and «Sonechko» nurseries, and the Children’s and Youth Sports School.

From the same date, the heating season may begin for enterprises, institutions and organisations heated by boiler houses using alternative fuels — wood, pellets or fuel briquettes. The decision also applies to premises with individual gas heating.

At the same time, for residential properties with individual gas and electric heating, the start of the heating season has been set earlier — from 15 October.

As a reminder, preparations for the heating season are being finalised in Mykolaiv. Heat supply companies plan to be ready to switch on the heating after 20 October, although, according to preliminary estimates, heat may begin to be supplied to the city from around 1 November.
