The government temporarily stopped the reservation of men: the president was indignant that 1.5 million had already been reserved

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the reservation of 1.5 million workers, after which the government suspended some provisions on the identification of critical enterprises.

This became known from a government document, which is at the disposal of Economic Truth.

«The president was at the meeting. He was outraged that 1.5 million were reserved,» the publication reported, citing its sources.

The document states that by November 15 it is planned to conduct an audit of decisions on the identification of critical enterprises, and the Ministry of Economy should analyze the results and inform the Cabinet of Ministers by November 20.

The Ministry of Economy, together with the Ministry of Defense, should also develop a project that will provide for the verification of the validity of the reservation of conscripts and the possibility of canceling the postponement of the draft in the case of unjustified reservations.

«Suspension until November 15, 2024, of the provisions of the Criteria and the procedure for determining enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critically important for the functioning of the economy,» the document says.

Central authorities and regional administrations are recommended to refrain from making decisions on the identification of such enterprises until the issue is settled.
