It is planned to allocate more than 55 billion hryvnias for the production of weapons and military equipment in Ukraine in 2025, which is 3 billion hryvnias more than what was allocated for 2024.

This was announced by the Minister of Strategic Industry Herman Smetanin.

The government will allocate 54.55 billion hryvnias for the development of production, the development of new technologies and the expansion of production capacities for the production of defense products.

In addition, 500 million hryvnias will be sent to the program of affordable loans for defense enterprises.

This program, which was launched in 2024, allows manufacturers to take loans at 5% per annum, the rest of the interest rate is covered by the state budget.

It was previously reported that in 2025, Ukraine plans to significantly increase the production of its own weapons, including drones, long-range and ballistic missiles.
