The United States immediately cancels the pause in intelligence sharing and resumes security assistance to Ukraine.

This is stated in a joint statement following a meeting between the delegations of Ukraine and the United States on 11 March in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It is noted that the Ukrainian delegation once again expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the Ukrainian people to President Trump, the US Congress and the people of the United States for making meaningful progress towards peace possible.

In addition, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the United States Donald Trump agreed to conclude a minerals development agreement as soon as possible.

«Finally, the presidents of both countries agreed to conclude a comprehensive agreement on the development of Ukraine's critical mineral resources as soon as possible to strengthen Ukraine's economy and guarantee Ukraine's long-term prosperity and security,», the document says.

Earlier, the Head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, said that Ukraine had expressed its readiness to accept the US proposal for a temporary ceasefire for 30 days.

As a reminder, during a speech to Congress, US President Donald Trump said he had received a letter from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to Donald Trump, the letter states that Ukraine «is ready to sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring a sustainable peace», as well as to sign an agreement on minerals.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was ready to sign a minerals agreement between Ukraine and the United States at any time and in any convenient format.

It should also be recalled that Donald Trump ordered the suspension of all military assistance to Ukraine, increasing pressure on President Zelenskyy.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also emphasised his readiness to meet with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, if he receives an invitation to «a constructive dialogue».

At the same time, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitrii Peskov said that the foreign policy approaches of the Donald Trump administration «largely» correspond to the Kremlin's position. At the same time, he acknowledged that relations between the US and Russia still have a long way to go «to improve, but that if there is political will, it can be «overcome quite quickly».
