President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is preparing for new trilateral meetings with the participation of American and Russian delegations this week.

He made this statement after hearing a report from our delegation following negotiations in the UAE with the American and Russian sides.

«This was the first trilateral dialogue in a long time aimed at ending the war. At the meetings, we discussed a range of important issues, primarily military ones, that are necessary to end the war. We also talked about complex political issues that remain unresolved. We analysed the key positions of the parties,» the head of state said.

In addition, according to him, new trilateral meetings are expected this week.

«We have defined the framework for further diplomatic work. We are preparing for new trilateral meetings this week,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared the first details of the trilateral meeting that took place today in the United Arab Emirates. He stressed that in order to achieve a truce, Russia must ultimately «develop» a desire to end the war.
