Odesa Polytechnic was included in the list of Ukrainian universities, on the basis of which the «Startup school — incubator — accelerator» network will be created.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

In addition, startup schools will also appear at the National Aviation University, Vinnytsia National Technical University, Kyiv Academic University, Sumy State University, and Dnipro Polytechnic.

Fedorov emphasized that these universities have a developed innovative infrastructure and experience in cooperation with business. He is sure that this will allow students to develop their own ideas, create startups and bring them to the market. At the same time, schools will provide students with mentoring support and help in attracting investments.

«At startup schools, students will receive support, mentorship and the opportunity to raise investment for scaling. In order for Ukraine to have its own Facebook or Microsoft, it is necessary to help small student startups in their implementation at the idea stage,» he said.

According to the minister, the project, which is carried out jointly with the Ministry of Education and Science, will become part of the economic recovery of Ukraine.

We will remind that Ukraine began to issue grants for the production of missiles, actively developing the ammunition market and creating innovative incubators for testing new technologies on the battlefield.
