The city of Pivdennoukrainsk in the Mykolaiv region plans to take part in a green recovery project run by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO).

This is stated in a draft resolution of the Pivdennoukrainsk City Council, according to NikVesti.

It states that as part of the project, the city plans to renovate sewage pumping stations and the pressure domestic sewage system, as well as purchase solar panels with batteries. The total cost of this project is €5.5 million.

The document states that part of these funds will be allocated from the Pivdennoukrainsk budget — specifically, «co-financing in the amount specified in the financial agreement».

As a reminder, preparations are underway in Pervomaisk for a major refurbishment of the maternity hospital. The building is set to be modernised under a project by the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO). However, the Pervomaisk City Council has not disclosed the project’s cost or the specific plans.

NEFCO has also provided Mykolaiv with €7.2 million in grant support for solar power stations, as well as €7.2 million in grant support for the installation of individual heating units (IHUs).
