By the end of 2023, 15 kindergartens have already started full-time work in Mykolaiv

There are already 15 full-time kindergartens in Mykolaiv, where more than three thousand children study.

Relevant information is published in the draft decision of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council «On the restoration of the educational process in pre-school education institutions belonging to communal property», NikVesti writes.

At the meeting of the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council, which took place on Wednesday, December 27, a decision was agreed on the restoration of the educational process in four preschool institutions belonging to the communal form of ownership.

According to the decision, changes to the network of educational institutions were made for the 2023/2024 academic year. This became possible thanks to the act of inspection of buildings, structures and premises that can be used to shelter the population in case of need.

«At the moment, 15 kindergartens are operating in the city, and the educational process has been suspended in 59 preschool education institutions and in some school divisions. If other institutions are given the opportunity to resume work, this will be implemented based on the results of an inspection of their premises,» the draft decision states.

It was previously reported that 54 shelters are planned to be installed in kindergartens, schools and lyceums in Mykolaiv over the next few years.

We will remind you that the outflow of students was recorded in the schools of Mykolaiv this year. Compared to the last academic year , the number of schoolchildren decreased by 3,300. Vitalii Kim, the head of Mykolaiv RMA, explained that the city's schools work online because they are still targets for the Russian army.

In addition, in 2022, as a result of military events and the lack of a sufficient number of children in the Mykolaiv region, 16 kindergartens stopped their work.
