The Ministry of Agriculture of Germany has prepared an aid package for farmers in the affected regions of Ukraine.

This was discussed during the meeting of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Vitalii Koval, with the Minister of Agriculture of Germany, Cem Ozdemir, reports the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Cem Ozdemir noted that his ministry will provide 900,000 euros in the form of vouchers for 1,625 rural households in the front-line Kherson and Odesa regions. These are targeted funds for the purchase of seeds and agricultural materials for spring sowing.

He assured that Germany will continue to support Ukraine so that it is possible to export agricultural products and receive income to protect itself and its sovereignty. For Ukraine, Germany is one of the key partners on the way to the European Union.

Vitaly Koval noted that the main emphasis of the meeting was on countering Russian terror in the agricultural sector and supporting Germany.

«We agreed together to systematically counter Russian disinformation in the agricultural sector about Ukrainian products. For example, that Ukraine is «responsible» for low wheat prices in Germany. Although last year in Germany, our wheat accounted for only 1.8% of the total volume of imports. Therefore, to believe such propaganda or to spread it is to play into the hands of the enemies of Ukraine and their desire to divide free Europe,» said the head of the Ukrainian ministry.

We will remind you that 19,500 tons of melon crops were harvested by all categories of farms in Mykolaiv Oblast this year, which is 20% more than last year.
