On Wednesday, October 9, seven more children returned to the controlled territory from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson regional military administration, announced this.

According to him, three boys and four girls, aged from 7 to 17, were rescued. Currently, the children are already in a safe place and receiving the necessary help.

«The children went through the hell of the Russian occupation — baseless searches and danger. The military broke into their homes, threatened their families and tried to evict them. The occupation authorities repeatedly demanded that children be enrolled in Russian schools and receive Russian passports,» Oleksandr Prokudin wrote.

The return of the children was handled by the Office of the Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the «Save Ukraine» charitable organization. Thanks to their hard work, our citizens are on Ukrainian land.

It is noted that since the beginning of 2024, 217 children from the Kherson region have been returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

We will remind you that seven Ukrainian children from the Kherson, Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions, who were under Russian occupation, returned home.
