The return of Ukrainian children forcibly taken to the Russian Federation is a priority for the state and the international community. In Ukraine, several key organizations and initiatives are addressing this issue:

  • "Bring Kids Back UA" Initiative: Launched by the President of Ukraine, this initiative aims to return deported children. It unites the efforts of the government, international organizations, and partner countries to effectively address the problem.

  • Child Rights Protection Center: Established within the "Bring Kids Back UA" initiative, this center provides comprehensive assistance to children who have become victims of war crimes, including medical, psychological, and social support.

  • International Coalition of Countries for the Return of Ukrainian Children: In December 2023, the first meeting of this coalition took place, with representatives from 72 countries and international organizations participating. The coalition aims to coordinate efforts to return deported children.

  • Non-Governmental Organizations: Organizations like "Save Ukraine" actively work on returning children from occupied territories and provide support to families during reintegration.

These entities collaborate with international partners, including the UN and UNICEF, to ensure the safety and rights of children and facilitate their return to Ukraine.
