The Mykolaiv City Council explained that supervisory boards for utility companies are created to reform management systems and reduce corruption risks.

It is noted that the experts of the supervisory boards will monitor the strategy and activities of the enterprises, as well as direct the management to achieve the set goals.
«Their main tasks are to increase the efficiency of management and control, strengthen the strategic development of the enterprise and, as a result, better quality of services for citizens and reduce corruption risks,» the report says.
The city council is confident that the supervisory board will ensure more effective use of the resources and opportunities that the company has today.
We will remind you that Mykolaivvodokanal may become the first enterprise in Mykolaiv where it is planned to create a supervisory board.
We will also remind you that in Mykolaiv, integrity will be checked at two municipal enterprises of the city. After that they are reformed. Inspections should start in November at Mykolaivvoblteploenergo and Mykolaivelectrotrans utility companies. It is noted that the level of management, transparency and accountability of the KP will be assessed, and potential corruption risks will be determined.
It should be noted that on March 5, the international company Deloitte, which is one of the four largest auditors in the world, presented the results of the integrity assessment of the Mykolaivvodokanal utility company. The company received 579 points out of 1025 possible.
