President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the massive shelling of Ukraine by Russian forces on December 25, 2024.

The head of state wrote about this in Telegram.

«Every Russian massive strike requires time for preparation. This is never a spontaneous decision. This is a conscious choice not only of targets, but also of time and date. Today, Putin deliberately chose Christmas for the attack. What could be more inhumane? Over 70 rockets, including ballistic missiles, and more than a hundred strike drones. The targets are our energy facilities. They continue to fight for a blackout in Ukraine,» emphasized Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He also noted that according to preliminary data, more than 50 rockets and a significant number of drones were successfully shot down.

«Unfortunately, there have been hits. Currently, there are power outages in several regions. Power engineers are working to restore the electricity supply as quickly as possible,» he said.
