As of January, not a single house in the village of Posad Pokrovske in the Kherson region was 100% complete. Most of the 120 objects that were being worked on are only 20% complete.

This was announced by Mykola Boiko, First Deputy Head of the State Agency for the Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

According to him, such a slow reconstruction process needs to be adjusted, as it is not just about restoring buildings, but about the normal life of the villagers.

«That is why it was decided not to extend the contracts with the contractors», he said.

According to him, the reconstruction of more than 250 houses and a school will begin in the near future and gas supply will be restored.

As you know, back in the spring of 2023, Posad-Pokrovske was included in a comprehensive reconstruction project. But the work stopped in 2024. In August, it became known that the Cabinet of Ministers had again allocated money for the village's reconstruction. In total, 98 houses are planned to be restored with public funds in 2025.
