The head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, Vitalii Kim, urged people not to register other people's Starlink terminals in their names and warned that this could have criminal consequences.
He made this statement in the context of preparations for the launch of the state Starlink register.
The head of the region noted that in the near future, the government will adopt a resolution and publish instructions on registering terminals for citizens and local authorities. The register is necessary, in particular, due to the widespread use of Starlink by Russians on drones, which complicates the work of Ukrainian electronic warfare systems.
At the same time, Vitalii Kim stressed that it is strictly forbidden to register terminals that you do not own.
«The register is necessary, in particular, because Russians are using Starlink on drones on a massive scale, and it is difficult for our electronic warfare systems to counter them. Please do not register other people's Starlink terminals in your name. No matter who calls you — strangers or even acquaintances. If a Starlink terminal that you register in your name and do not know who it belongs to is found on an enemy drone in the future, it will most likely be a criminal case,» Vitalii Kim stressed.
We remind you that unverified Starlink terminals in Ukraine will be disabled to combat Russian drones that use terminals for attacks.
