Online education, lack of light and drinking water: Sienkevych met with UNICEF representatives in Mykolaiv

Mykolaiv City Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych met with the Director of the Global Office of UNICEF Humanitarian Programs, Lucia Elmi.

The meeting took place in the city youth center on Monday, July 15, the press service of Mykolaiv City Council reports.

The space, as you know, was opened with the help of UNICEF and the people of Japan. Together with the representatives of the Youth Policy Council, they discussed the challenges facing Mykolaiv youth.

«Oleksandr Sienkevych told the delegation about the work of the youth space and plans for its expansion, for which sponsors are currently being sought. The mayor also reminded of the most urgent problems of the city: lack of drinking water and uninterrupted supply of electricity, which arose due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation. And also about the consequences of online education for our children and the urgent need to return them to the desks,» reported the press service of the mayor.

We will remind, on Thursday, July 11, Mykolaiv was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Great Britain to Ukraine Martin Harris and the deputy head of the diplomatic mission of the Embassy of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine Vagur Soosaar.
