In the budget of Mykolaiv for 2023, it is planned to redistribute ₴9.6 million for the purchase of 415 drones and equipment for the Armed Forces

The Planning and Budget Commission of the Mykolaiv City Council approved the allocation of 9.6 million hryvnias of subvention for the purchase of 415 drones of various modifications, as well as means of communication and night vision devices for the needs of the military.

As it became known on Friday, December 23, at the meeting of the budget commission, it is planned to make the corresponding changes in the draft budget for 2023, NikVesti writes.

The chairman of the budget commission and deputy of the Mykolaiv city council, Fedir Panchenko, asked whether the budget redistribution project for 2023 included money to help the Armed Forces.

»Redistribution has been made in the executive committee of the Mykolaiv City Council and 9.6 million hryvnias of subvention is provided to the state budget of our military unit for the purchase of drones. Also, in the draft decision itself, it is written that all the funds that we provided as a subvention to the military units remain for use with a target purpose for the next year, that is, they do not need to be returned to the budget,» said the director of the finance department of the Mykolaiv City Council, Vira Sviatelyk.

We remind that on March 9, at the session of the Mykolaiv City Council, the deputies redistributed 501 million unused balances from last year's budget. From this amount, 200 million was directed as a subvention to the state budget, which will go to the military units stationed in Mykolaiv.

Also, 200 million hryvnias went to purchase housing for military personnel serving in parts of the Mykolaiv garrison. We will remind that apartments for the military will be purchased in Mykolaiv this year for 323 million hryvnias.

As you know, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 597 million hryvnias have been allocated from the budget of Mykolaiv for the needs of the Armed Forces, and another 80 million hryvnias have been transferred to equipment.
