It is planned to create a «support kitchen» that will provide food for students of five schools for ₴9.5 million in Nova Odesa

On the basis of Lyceum №1 in Nova Odesa, they want to create a «support kitchen» that will supply food to five educational institutions.

The Department of Education of the Novo Odesa City Council has announced a corresponding tender, NikVesti reports.

For 9.5 million hryvnias, a capital repair of the cafeteria and the lyceum canteen is planned. The winner will be determined after October 16, and the contractor has until December 20, 2024 to complete the work.

According to the information published on the «Dream.Proekty» platform, this renovation will provide balanced nutrition for 1,678 schoolchildren. The goal of the project is to modernize the technological process of food preparation and deliver ready meals to four other schools.

The food block will be equipped with new equipment, furniture, as well as bathrooms and staff quarters. A dining hall will be set up for students. The project also includes a packaging and logistics area for delivering meals to four other schools.

Lyceum No. 1 itself has 406 students, of which 81 students receive free meals. In general, the «support kitchen» should provide free food for 562 children of privileged categories.

We would like to remind you that in Kobleve Lyceum, the dining hall and the cafeteria will be thoroughly renovated and modernized. The works were previously estimated at 9 million 954 thousand hryvnias.

We will remind that in August, the government distributed almost 1.5 billion hryvnias of subvention for the modernization of food blocks in schools. In total, 159 canteens in the regions will be renovated with the help of state subsidies. Institutions will be able to purchase modern equipment and update canteens and canteens. In turn, the Mykolaiv region will receive a total of 132 million hryvnias for the renovation of canteens.

Among Mykolaiv schools, funds will be received by:

• Mykolaiv Lyceum №40: the institution will receive 20 million 976 thousand 134 hryvnias for major repairs of the cafeteria. The lyceum has 1,832 students, and it will receive the status of a support kitchen.

• Mykolaiv Lyceum №3: 18 million 514 thousand 376 hryvnias were allocated for this lyceum, where 1210 students study. The Lyceum will also receive the status of a basic kitchen.

• Mykolaiv Gymnasium №52: will receive 19 million 554 thousand 74 hryvnias for major repairs of the cafeteria. The gymnasium, where 1,609 students study, will become a support kitchen.

• Mykolaiv Gymnasium №46: 19 million 835 thousand 683 hryvnias have been allocated for the repair of the cafeteria of this institution. The gymnasium has 686 students, and it will receive the status of a basic kitchen.

Also, the government allocated 38 million hryvnias of «educational» subvention from the state budget for educational institutions of the Mykolaiv region. These funds will be spent on the purchase of equipment, books and furniture.
