Starting in 2022, the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center provided grants for the opening and development of businesses for a total amount of about 40 million hryvnias.

This was announced by the director of the employment center, Dmytro Oboronko, during the conference «Economic Ukraine: equality in pay» in Mykolaiv, reports NikVesti.

He noted that the funds are aimed at supporting citizens who want to open their own business, as well as at the development of entrepreneurial activities for the families of military personnel and the military themselves. Dmytro Oboronko specified that the grant program began to operate in 2022, during which time more than 200 residents of the Mykolaiv region received grants for their businesses.

«We started working with this program in 2022, and these are the results for the period from 2022. But this program operates in communities that are not in the war zone. Unfortunately, Mykolayiv was in this zone in 2022, so we did not have the opportunity to work in the city, although the most powerful business is concentrated here. Of course, we would like this number to be higher, but we have what we have. Currently, we are improving this result every month,» said Dmytro Oboronko.

It should be noted that grant support programs for opening or developing a business in the Mykolaiv Regional Employment Center continue to work. Both civilians and military personnel can receive funds if they meet the requirements of the program. In particular, a grant ranging from 50 to 250 thousand hryvnias can be received by anyone who wants to start a business. For this, it is necessary to submit a business plan and an application through the Diya platform. After that, a special commission reviews the application and makes a decision on providing funding.

As a reminder, entrepreneurs from the Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions and individuals who have ideas for developing their own business can participate in the mini-project competition and to receive funds for the implementation of your business. Applications for participation in the «Early business recovery in the south of Ukraine» contest must be submitted by October 30, by 3:00 p.m., by filling out the questionnaire at the link.

Also, residents of eight regions of Ukraine can receive a grant of up to 36,000 hryvnias for the restoration or creation of their own bakeries, farms, apiaries or studios.
