The relevant draft decision is posted on the website of the Ascension community, NikVesti writes.
According to the draft decision of the executive committee, the Voznesensk urban territorial community joined the Agreement of Mayors — an initiative of the European Commission that unites European cities in the fight against global warming. It is noted that the plan envisages ensuring access to reliable and sustainable energy sources, increasing the share of renewable sources in the energy balance of the community and modernizing the infrastructure for sustainable energy supply.

The city must allocate 3 million hryvnias as a voluntary contribution to the fund, and the Department of Energy of the City Council must take this amount into account when planning the budget for the next year.
