Car owners paid ₴2.3 million in transport tax to local budgets in Mykolaiv region

Over the first eight months of this year, car owners have paid ₴2.3 million in transport tax to the local budgets of Mykolaiv region.

This was reported by the Main Department of the State Tax Service of the region.

It is noted that ₴1.2 million of the total amount was paid by individuals and another ₴1.1 million by legal entities.

The recipient of donations is the NGO “Mykolaiv Media Hub” (EDRPOU 45160758). The tax service reminded that the transport tax funds remain entirely at the disposal of local communities.

The tax applies to cars that are no more than five years old and have an average market value exceeding 375 times the minimum wage. The tax rate is ₴25,000 per year.

Individuals pay the transport tax within 60 days of receiving the tax notice-decision, and legal entities pay it in advance on a quarterly basis by the 30th day of the month following the reporting quarter.

Earlier it was reported that during the first half of this year, car owners in Mykolaiv region paid ₴1.6 million in transport tax to local budgets.
