Finland will send the 24th package of military aid to Ukraine with a total value of 159 million hryvnias.

The corresponding decision was taken by the president on June 28 at the suggestion of the government.

As noted by the Ministry of Defense of Finland, this is the 24th delivery of defense equipment to Ukraine. They estimate that replacing the equipment included in this batch will cost Finland approximately 159 million euros, and the total cost of military aid is already 2.2 billion euros.

«Finland intends to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia's unjustified aggression. It is not only about Ukraine, but also about the right of all free peoples to their ultimate existence. We Finns have learned from our own history how important this issue is,» said Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.

The ministry noted that in order to ensure the safe delivery of aid to Ukraine, its actual content, methods and terms of delivery are not disclosed.

«During the provision of aid, both the needs of Ukraine and the state of resources of the Defense Forces are taken into account,» the Ministry of Defense noted.

We will remind that earlier the German government updated the list of new military aid for Ukraine. It included, in particular, air defense systems IRIS-T SLM and HIMARS.
