In 2025, it is planned to implement 150 investment projects in the Mykolaiv region for a total amount of over 30 billion hryvnias.

This is stated in the Program for Economic and Social Development of the Mykolaiv Region for 2025, which was supported by the Mykolaiv Regional Council commission on science and education, innovations, youth, family and sports, culture and spirituality.

As noted by Oleksandr Koroliov, Director of the Department of Economic Development and Regional Policy of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, most of the investment projects were launched in previous years. All of them will be financed mainly from state and local budgets, as well as donor funds.

«Appendix 4 to the program is a list of investment projects that are planned to be implemented in 2025. The implementation of most of them was started in previous years, and, given the limited city budget, the sources of funding are the state, local and other budgets. In total, there are 151 investment projects,» said Oleksandr Koroliov.

Among the categories of investment projects:

  • Education — about 2.2 billion hryvnias are needed for the construction and repair of shelters, current and major repairs of educational institutions in the Mykolaiv region.
  • Housing and communal services — about 25 billion hryvnias are needed for the construction of a water intake, the reconstruction of the Zhovtneve reservoir, the construction of treatment facilities, pumping stations, as well as for the restoration of infrastructure after Russian shelling. Some of these projects were launched in 2024, and they are planned to be completed by 2026-2027 with the support of donors and other organizations.
  • Culture — more than 176 million hryvnias are needed for repairs and restoration of cultural institutions, including theaters.
  • Healthcare — at least 1.8 billion hryvnias are needed to repair healthcare facilities and build protective structures in hospitals.

The total amount for the implementation of all investment projects is over 30 billion hryvnias. However, this is not the final amount, as funding for some projects has not yet been determined. They will be financed subject to available budget balances and possible redistribution of funding.

In general, the Economic and Social Development Program consists of three sections: an analysis of the economic and social development of the region, goals, objectives and measures, as well as sources of financing. In addition to investment projects, 76 measures are planned to be implemented in 2025, some of which will not require financing, while others will be financed during the year. In total, 30 regional programs are planned to be financed.

As a reminder, the state digital recovery management ecosystem DREAM contains 470 projects for the reconstruction of the Mykolaiv region. Their implementation will require 37.75 billion hryvnias.
