Defense Minister Rustem Umierov announced the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate an additional almost 370 billion hryvnias for the purchase of weapons.

He wrote about it on Facebook.

«We are studying new possibilities of supporting the enterprises of our DIC (defense-industrial complex, — note) to ensure the logistical needs of the army and the timely shipment of the necessary weapons. Currently, in particular, we are working on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to allocate an additional almost 370 billion hryvnias for the purchase of weapons,» the minister said.

We will remind you that recently the Myhiia village council in the Mykolaiv region announced a tender for the purchase of 35 FPV 10 drones.

It should be noted that earlier Oleksandr Sienkevych published the schedule of the city council with the financing of the military, on which almost 700 million hryvnias were spent. 17 new vehicles were purchased and handed over to the Armed Forces with city funds, another 89 pieces of equipment were handed over to parts from utility companies.

In particular, 400 million hryvnias were allocated from the city budget in 2023 for the military, of which 200 million hryvnias went to purchase housing for military personnel serving in parts of the Mykolaiv garrison.

In addition, the Planning and Budget Commission of the Mykolaiv City Council approved the allocation of 9.6 million hryvnias of subvention for the purchase of 415 drones of various modifications, as well as means of communication and night vision devices for the needs of the military.

Recently, deputies of the Mykolaiv City Council supported the idea of increasing by 500 million hryvnias the funding of the military assistance program «Supporting the defense and mobilization readiness of the city of Mykolaiv for 2021-2024».
