On Saturday, 16 May, the Mykolaiv Museum of Shipbuilding and the Fleet hosted the international event «Night at the Museum». Due to safety restrictions, the event was held during the day — from 9:00 to 17:00.

A reporter from NikVesti was there.

The event was timed to coincide with International Museum Day. Admission was free for all visitors during the event. As part of the programme, a concert was also held on the museum grounds featuring the brass band of the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade. In addition, an exhibition of folk costumes was opened.

«Today we are hosting meetings between schoolchildren and students and military personnel from different generations, including veterans and soldiers of the 30th Marine Corps, and at the end of the day there will be a festive concert featuring the vocal ensemble «Southern Patrol», — said Larysa Shynkarenko, head of the scientific and educational centre.

According to Larysa Shynkarenko, the event was organised so that people who cannot afford tickets could visit the museum free of charge and view the exhibition

Major Vitalii Matsiuk, military conductor and head of the orchestra of the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy, noted that, in addition to this event, the museum also features photographs of the military personnel defending Ukraine.
