«The boy had to go to a Russian school, which was a difficult test for him. He felt like a stranger among his new classmates and could not find a common language with them,» the counselor writes.

She noted that the family had tried to leave repeatedly, but all attempts had failed. However, the boy's mother could not leave her bedridden grandmother, as her health had noticeably deteriorated due to stress and the lack of necessary medication.

«Mykhailo was met by his family in Ukraine. Now the boy is safe, surrounded by family, plans to return to study at a Ukrainian school and dreams of a better future,» added Dariia Zarivna.

As a reminder, on December 10 five children were returned to the controlled territory of Ukraine as part of the President's Bring Kids Back UA program, as well as three adults.
