US President Joe Biden condemned the massive Russian attack on Ukrainian energy on December 25.

This is stated in his statement released by the White House.

He emphasized that in the early hours of Christmas, Russia launched waves of missiles and drones against Ukrainian cities and critical energy infrastructure.

«Let me be clear: the Ukrainian people deserve to live in peace and security, and the United States and the international community must continue to support Ukraine until it defeats Russian aggression», Joe Biden said.

He noted that in recent months the US has provided Ukraine with hundreds of air defense missiles and «more are on the way».

«I have ordered the Department of Defense to continue rapid arms deliveries to Ukraine, and the United States will continue to work tirelessly to strengthen Ukraine's position in its defense against Russian forces», said Joe Biden.

Recall that the Russian army attacked cities in Ukraine on Christmas, December 25, with missiles and drones. The target of Russian strikes was again the energy sector.

Also, due to the massive Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, consumers in Mykolaiv and the region began to have their electricity turned off according to hourly outage schedules on the morning of December 25.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the massive shelling of Ukraine by Russian troops on December 25, 2024. He emphasized that Putin deliberately chose Christmas for the attack.
