In Mykolaiv, fraudsters informed a local resident that her daughter beat a girl and broke her phone and offered to «solve the issue with money."
The police of the Mykolaiv region informed about it.
According to the victim, unknown persons called her mobile phone and complained about her daughter, who allegedly beat the girl.
«In order to resolve the issue of not bringing her to justice, it is necessary to transfer a certain amount to the card account. The woman transferred the funds without hesitation and only after that contacted her daughter and found out that nothing similar had happened to her,» the message reads.
Based on this fact, the investigators started criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine «Fraud». The sanction of the article provides for a punishment of up to three years of imprisonment.
Earlier it was reported that a swindler in Yuzhnoukrainsk defrauded a 46-year-old woman of over 66,000 hryvnias.
